Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-06-30

This Privacy Policy explains how BitmapToSVG ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the BitmapToSVG website and image-vectorization service (the "Service").

We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. You can use the core Service without creating an account.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is needed to run the Service:

  • Images you upload and the vector outputs generated from them (see "Uploaded Images").
  • A randomly generated, anonymous session identifier stored in a cookie (see "Cookies").
  • Limited transaction information when you make a purchase (see "Payment Information").
  • Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and request logs, used for security, abuse prevention, and operating the Service.

2. Uploaded Images

Images you upload are used solely to perform the vectorization you requested and to deliver the result to you. We do not use your images to train models, and we do not sell or share them.

Uploaded files and generated outputs are stored only temporarily. Paid results are retained for a limited re-download window (by default about one hour) and are then deleted automatically; unpaid and intermediate data is short-lived. We do not build a permanent library of your content.

3. Cookies

We use a single essential, signed, HTTP-only session cookie to associate your conversions and paid downloads with your browser so that you can re-download files you have purchased. This cookie is required for the Service to function and does not track you across other websites.

Our separate administrative area uses its own cookie that applies only to authorized operators, not to ordinary visitors.

4. Analytics

We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate usage — for example page views, approximate region, and device or browser type — in order to improve the Service. Where used, this data is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you. We do not use analytics to sell your data.

5. Payment Information

Payments are processed by PayPal. We do not collect or store your full payment card details. PayPal handles your payment data under its own privacy policy.

We receive only limited transaction information necessary to fulfill and record your purchase, such as an order identifier, payment status, amount, and currency.

6. Third-party Services

We rely on a small number of third-party providers to operate the Service, including:

These providers process data only as needed to provide their function and are subject to their own privacy policies.

  • PayPal — payment processing.
  • Our hosting and infrastructure provider — running the servers and storing transient data.
  • Analytics provider (if enabled) — aggregate usage measurement.

7. Data Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary. Uploaded images and generated outputs are deleted automatically after the short retention window described above. Transaction and order records may be retained longer where required for accounting, tax, or legal purposes. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), restricted access, and hashing of administrative passwords. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. User Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights over your personal data:

  • GDPR (EEA/UK): the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
  • CCPA (California): the rights to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

10. Contact

For any privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@bitmaptosvg.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
